about
The fundamentals of drawing and composition that were a core part of my formal training as an artist are the basis of all of my work to this day. The lessons learned from drawing from life for months at a time, day in and day out - and an understanding of colour both in terms of design and energetic connection - are an essential part of who I am. Paintings that may appear as ‘abstract’ are always built upon the principles of balance and delicacy of shape and line, in essence I try to capture a moment in time that resonates with a sense of peace and quietude whatever the subject, or the thought that preceded it.
I divide my time between my home in North Wales and my studio in Oxford, where my paintings are available to view by appointment. To do this, or for any queries please email:
